The Mediation Voucher Scheme
The ministry of Justice’s Mediation Voucher Scheme is a £500.00 contribution towards the cost of joint mediation meetings where there is:
- A dispute regarding a child
- A dispute regarding family financial matters where you are also involved in a dispute relating to a child
The voucher contribution does not cover the cost of Mediation information and assessment meetings (MAIM) or the preparation of a Memorandum of Understanding and/or financial summary.
What would it cost me if I instructed a solicitor?
The average cost of instructing a solicitor and making an application to the court in relation to child arrangements would typically be between £4,000 – £10,000 and in relation to financial arrangements could be £6,000 – £20,000 each.
